Professor Simonetta Cirilli
Professor Simonetta Cirilli is an expert in Sedimentary Geology and Stratigraphy. Her main research topics are in Paleogeography, Paleoclimate, Sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy, and palaeoclimatology of the main depositional systems during Palaeozoic-Mesozoic times. She has studied Sedimentology and stratigraphy of marine carbonate, mixed carbonate-siliciclastic and continental depositional environments.
Professor Cirilli is a lecturer in Sedimentology, Organic Matter, and Sedimentary geology and petrology at the University of Perugia in Italy. She is an Associate Editor of the Italian Journal of Geoscience and is a member of the Italian Geological Society, the International Association of Sedimentologists and the American Association of Stratigraphic Palynologists.
