Dr Quinto Sacchi
Dr. Quinto Sacchi is a senior reservoir geologist and petrophysicist with over twelve years’ experience in static reservoir studies. He has wide experience in integrated geological studies of fluvial/deltaic depositional settings, carbonate formations, thin-layer reservoirs, well log and core analysis, log-lithological characterization of formations through neural network approach, risk analysis, and grid optimization for dynamic modeling. His professional activities have taken him around Europe and overseas. Throughout his career he has sharpened his skills in the use of the different commercial software available to the industry. Since 2006, and alongside his technical skills, he has also developed academic skills by holding several teaching roles at Politecnico di Torino. His courses have gained from his work experience in the industry and vice versa.
Quinto completed his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering at Politecnico di Torino and his MSc in Geology studies at Università degli Studi di Torino. His research interests lie mostly in the area of reducing the uncertainty of static reservoir models and processed-based geological reservoir modeling. He has actively collaborated with researchers from different academic institutions, such as TNO (the Netherlands) and Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands), in different projects and has authored several publications.
He is an EAGE and AAPG member.
