Field development engineer / consultant

Geof specialises in field development strategy, definition and value optimisation:

  • On investment projects, Geof works with multi-disciplinary teams of sub-surface and economics professionals, as concept and facilities engineer, to evaluate petroleum assets.
  • On front-end projects, Geof works with the wider team of discipline engineers, to identify optimal development solutions, providing expertise in strategy, costing, phasing and risk.
  • On all projects, Geof applies his advanced information management and analysis skills to ensure that business decisions are based on information that is fully consistent, transparent and auditable.

In particular, Geof facilitates the rational consideration of multiple competing field development scenarios involving varying concepts, technologies, well strategies, production forecasts, facilities configurations, layouts, phasing and risk.

Geof has a good awareness of sub-surface and economics issues, and a good knowledge of all technical environments (onshore, offshore, subsea, floating, oil, gas, LPG, LNG, CNG, drilling, production, process, power, transportation, operations, etc).
Either directly, or via intermediary consultants, Geof has worked on a large number of investment and front-end projects, small and large, for a wide variety of independent, national and integrated oil companies.

Project clients have included such as: BP, Tullow Oil, Premier Oil, Shell, Kufpec, ONGC Videsh, Atlantic Petroleum, Cairn Energy, Tata Petrodyne, Gail (India) Ltd, Mitsui, San Leon, Prize India, MOL, Enel, Kufpec, PCG Group, Woodside Petroleum Ltd, Oil and Gas Dev Corp of Pakistan, Lloyd's of London and Petrodar Sudan.
