Mustapha Akinsanmi

Mustapha Akinsanmi Esanda TrainingMustapha Akinsanmi is a Petrophysicist with over 20 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas geoscience technical arena with focus in clastics and carbonate petrophysics.

He commenced his petrophysics career with Shell Nigeria in 1996 and has worked for Halliburton Energy Services, Baker Hughes Inteq, Qatar Petroleum and Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Operations where he undertook several petrophysical evaluation/interpretation for single and multi-wells projects.

His core skills and competencies are in Data acquisition planning/execution, Petrophysical Evaluation, Integrated Reservoir/Field Studies, Database Management, Log Analysis and interpretation (open & Cased hole), Well and Reservoir Management and Process Improvement. In 2002, Mustapha developed a fit-for-purpose technique that expanded the applications of LWD tools and eliminates the need for wireline logs – a technique that resulted in significant cost savings per well.

He has attended several professional courses in Nigeria, Europe, Americas, Middle East and far East Asia. He has authored technical papers both for SPE and SPLWA and has passion for talent development.
