En español/Spanish version

Course objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to apply Seismic Attributes, and extract from them important information that helps in the identification of structural, stratigraphic and rock / fluid properties associated with their reservoirs. They will understand the benefits, but mainly, the limitations of this technique in solving specific problems, associated with the very nature of the seismic data. They will be able to make decisions concerning the use of the results from this type of analysis in the assessments and forecasts of the reservoirs under their responsibility.

The course is designed for

The course is aimed at geophysicists, geologists and reservoir engineers, with basic knowledge of seismic methods of oil exploration.

Requirements

Each participant must carry a laptop to perform the practical exercises. OpendTec software (free) is used to perform several exercises, as well as the Microsoft Excel program (must be installed on laptops).
