FPSO Fundamentals
Course overview
The course provides a comprehensive overview of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facilities and will include key strategic, commercial and technical considerations when considering FPSO developments. The key components of an FPSO development will be covered ranging from hull design, offshore loading, turrets, mooring and the SURF (subsea, umbilicals, risers and flowline) equipment associated with such developments.
A review of the key oil and gas processing requirements based on end user specifications will be covered as well as the effects that fluid contaminants such as wax, asphaltenes, H2S and CO2 can have on the processing and development configurations and project costs.
Environmental aspects will include consideration with respect to selecting the right FPSO facility for the right job in varying water depths and meteorological conditions.
The course will also review the lifecycle of projects and how the facilities are selected and costed in order to prepare the field development plan and investment profiles for economic analysis.
The course will be accessible to all people as there will be an emphasis to demystify the terminology and nomenclature used within the industry.
